Thanks Rick, this helps a lot. I was interested in LKST when it traded in the 6-7 range purely as a short-term play thinking that 9-10 was possible. Of course, I never bought any.

More recently I did more digging and, as yourself, was very impressed with the SAB, and intrigued by their short-term MAb / long-term small molecules/biology discovery approach. It reminded me a bit of ICOS, but there is no Bill Gates here. Some of the animal data on anti-alpha4-beta7 integrin MAb (cf. their LDP-02 product) for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's seemed very interesting. They expect to enter clinicals with this, in the UK, in "early" 1998. (more burn ?)

The chemokine-HIV story is indeed a huge can of worms.
