A short side of ng story:

First visit this website: cheniere.com

11.4 bcf/d lng degas (send-out) capacity under “construction” with 50.5 bcf storage in US just by one company.

4.1 bcf/d of this coming online in 2008.

If you think the world does not have enough liquidification capacity, here are some numbers:

2003 capacity: 6.6 tcf/year
2006 capacity: 7.6 tcf/year
To be added in 2007/early 2008: 1.6 tcf/year
Total under “construction” by 2010: 5.07 tcf/year

Qatar has over 2 tcf/year capacity under "construction" now. (Qatar’s ng reserves is 910 tcf vs US’s reserves of ~200 tcf)

If you think the world does not have enough lng tankers, the tanker capacity numbers are:

2003: 366 bcf
2006: 582 bcf
To be added in 2007: 88 bcf

The above numbers are for under construction and does not include ones in engineering and planning stage.

If some think the current US lng imports of ~3+ bcf/day is an anomaly over 2006 imports of ~1.5 bcf/day, they may need to reverse their thinking in the near future.

And then, the market goes crazy for a few bcf/day of additional electricity demand during a few weeks of summer (under normal weather conditions)
