Dams don't necessarily 'ruin for all time any migratory fish domain', there are such things as fish ladders, some of which work very well, and some of which don't, but generally their design has improved over the decades ... many are put in where there is no dam, just to improve the habitat above 'original' condition ... true enough, if you flood the spawning channels you lose them for that purpose, but it is possible to establish new ones upstream, and/or improve/expand existing ones ... a lot is known about salmon, lacks only political will to grow more

Fish farms are fine as long as they're in isolatable drainable cleanable tanks on land, but all those growing carnivorous species in nets in the open sea must be immediately banned without exception, and their operation made a serious crime ... more oyster farming would be a good thing, at least in the style where they're on racks hung from floats, because they clean the water, don't require noxious chemicals, and don't spread diseases ... freshwater fish farms can work well, we're involved with one down south, got shares in a cooperativo that manages a dammed-up lake and stocks it with mojarra, a variety of tilapia ... very efficient protein - no chemicals, and no fantastic amount of deepsea species being raped to feed them, they just eat bugs and plants

Agreed in re Windy Craggy, to the extent i know about the situation [was involved with other things at that time, not in the market much] ... and mining Catface wouldn't bother me, were i a local there, as long as they did so in responsible manner ... but that doesn't much matter, it's overall political balance that counts, and i think anybody who expects to mine that close to Tofino should go there and hang out for a week or three first ... averaging on Doublestar would be up for me, not down, as i have a nice little profit but on few shares ... kinda typed out on it though, said everything i have to say, basically don't know what will happen but prefer other plays in the meantime ... top of the BC plays today would be wkm.v, imho
