Elroy, there would be no kidnapping or rockets since the Israelis would give back all occupied lands.

From the Palestinian perspective all of Israel is occuppied land. The two groups have been fighting since 1948, not just since 1967. Israel left Gaza, and Gaza still launches rockets at Israel. Sorry, but the idea that the Palestinians would not attack Israel if the Israelis unilaterally went back to the 1967 borders is not at all a given. I think the Palestinians would just strengthen themselves, and then attack Israel with greater force. There appears to be a massive culture amongst the Palestinian people in the occuppied territories that defines itself not my making something of their lives, but by destroying Israelis. The exaltation of teenage suicide bombers is an example.

So.....what do you do once you put a US base in Israel, Israel withdraws to the 1967 borders, some shady group calling itself the Allah Martyrs of Kingdom Come Brigade kidnaps 5 Israelis, some other group named Haifa Holy Liberation Club claims responsibility for a suicide bomber that killed 20 people in a Haifa cafe, and the Pal leadership says that they will put a stop to that kind of stuff, but no arrests are made and no visible penalties for these attacks occur. What then? How does the US military base help anything?
