Gold Stock Rankings - production05

This is the same data I published earlier in the week. I decided to provide rankings this time around.
Of the 12 small gold producing companies, Century Mining’s market cap is the 2nd lowest (11th ranked), yet Century Mining’s 2006 actual gold production is ranked 4th best, its 2007 forecasted gold production is ranked 4th best, and its 2006 actual cash cost per ounce is ranked 5th best on the list.

Again, 99% of the junior gold companies existing in our known universe were not advanced enough to generate gold production, to enable them to qualify for this list.

Market Cap:

1) Kirkland Lake Gold - $698,531,916

2) Alamos Gold - $677,799,696

3) Aurizon Mines - $633,665,398

4) Samafo Inc. - $402,136,695

5) Nevsun Resources - $257,310,508

6) Sangold Corp. - $168,313,714

7) Glencairn Gold - $161,544,838

3) Glencairn Gold - 86,536 ounces

4) CENTURY MINING - 73,823 ounces

5) La Mancha Resources - 62,300 ounces

6) Wesdome Gold Mines - 52,000 ounces

7) Aurizon Mines - 49,744 ounces

8) Kirkland Lake Gold - 49,675 ounces (pro-rated by myself to represent 4 qtrs, strictly based on first 3 qtrs of actual production)

9) Claude Resources - 47,400 ounces

10) Richmont Mines – 44,866 ounces

11) Nevsun Resources - 37,976 ounces

2) Alamos Gold - 150,000 ounces

3) Samafo Inc. - 129,000 to 141,000 *****

4) CENTURY MINING - 100,000 ounces ($370 – 390 US total cash cost)

5) Glencairn Gold - 90,000 to 105,000 ($385 – 425 US total cash cost per oz)

11) Claude Resources - 48,000 ounces

2006 Cash Cost Per Ounce:

1) Alamos Gold - $318 US (total cash cost)

2) La Mancha Resources - $352 US

3) Samafo Inc. - $353 US

4) Wesdome Gold Mines - $377 US ****

5) CENTURY MINING - $390 US (total cash cost)

6) Claude Resources - $396 US

7) Glencairn Gold - $477 US (total cash cost)

8) Richmont Mines – $538 US

9) Kirkland Lake Gold - $578 US (based on 9 mths actual)***

10) Nevsun Resources - $634 US

*** I did not see their cash cost per ounce published anywhere. I had to perform the calculation myself. As a result, this is not an official cash cost per ounce that is confirmed by Kirkland Lake Gold, but rather it is an estimate of their cash cost per ounce based on official data published by the company, plus an independent rough estimate for exchange rate. Calculation: $25,061,112 Cdn 9 months of 2006 Operating Expenses / 37,256 ounces for 9 mths of actual 2006 production * .86 rough exchange rate = $578 US

**** I did not see their cash cost per ounce published anywhere. I had to perform the calculation myself. As a result, this is not an official cash cost per ounce that is confirmed by Wesdome Gold Mines, but rather it is an estimate of their cash cost per ounce based on official data published by the company, plus an independent rough estimate for exchange rate. Calculation: $22,782,407 Cdn Total 2006 Operating Expenses / 52,000 actual 2006 ounces * .86 rough exchange rate = $377 US This $377 US is most likely lower than their actual result. Ounces from their Kiena Mine are included in their total year production, but the corresponding expenses are most likely not included in their operating expense total due to it being the bulk sample/non-commercial production period.

***** Ounces for their Samira Hill operation in Niger are overstated by 60%. Those ounces belong to Etruscan and the government of Niger. Semafo is counting the ounces until cash flow repays the cap ex that is owed to them, but the 60% will eventually go back to the rightful owners.
