there could be a genetic component that makes a person predisposed to abuse a pain relieving drug.....if so, i doubt i have it....

i have read enough about the ill effects of oxycontin addiction and feel that my usage is only realistically based upon pain management...

it made the pain tolerable, it didn't send me into a state of nirvana, i couldn't imagine trading off my mental acuity and mental well being for 'pain relief' that no longer existed

i could wax poetic about a morphine drug given to me for a surgery years ago too, it doesn't mean that i don't realize taking the drug beyond pain management wouldn't be self destructive

that is why i don't and won't
