Yes, John is concerned about the Congress ursurping Presidential foreign policy and war power, but with Bush, they NEED to step up. I agree with Odom. Bush presents a unique exception to normal practice

What does worry me is I have never seen the military so vocal in American affairs. So far, they have restricted their input to that from retired military but I fear there is a precedent forming even as I appreciate their comments and believe they are well said.

Do you have any concerns re. this issue?
