Tim - I agree with that person completely. I used to have a DirecTiVo box, but for HD the DirecTV-branded product is the only thing available. There's just no comparison between the two devices. The TiVo is a delight to use, and the DirecTV HD DVR is a pain. Not sure what he means about the inability to get broadcast HD feeds, though. I get all of them. - Allen
