Ya know....as a fairly young kid I was pretty aware of political issues and the "feeling" of the people and economy. The single darkest time in my life was 1978-1980. I was all of 12-14 but it was easy to sense just how down this country was. The economy was screwed and we had no pride. We're almost there again and it isn't lost on me who is in control. I'm a Republican but the people we have in office have lost their way. I don't really even know what they stand for anymore. They used to be the party of common sense and fiscal constraint. Thats all gone now. I know most of the people on this thread are in the Republican corner. But if we're being at all intellectually honest we have to admit we have some serious decay in our party. This crew is lost at sea. There comes a point in time where we have to stop looking out and pointing fingers for our problems and start looking in to find them. We have a lot of work to do
