The Cheney quote (a true head scratcher, I agree) goes along with the William Kristol quote right before the invasion where he poo-pooed the warnings of some Middle East experts that our invasion could uncork pent up sectarian hatreds. He stated that there was no sectarian friction in Iraq; it was a nation of secular upper middle class folks who were above all that. One of the truly arrogant neocon chowderhead statements....
