Many large cities are installing cameras at every major intersection and this trend will likely continue at a faster rate with WIMAX enable cameras ---I'm not sure that Sprint is going to want to enable a constant video stream from every corner taking up their WiMAX capacity....particularly at the rates that a city is going to be willing to pay.

I think that is excellent news for Sprint ! They will fill up all the WIMAX capacity right away !

However I have nightmarish visions of BIG BROTHER type surveillance. Hidden solar powered tiny and cheap CCD based video cameras could be monitoring you and me, with no tell tale cable mess to give away the presence. Police could begin monitoring sites which are hangouts for drug pushers and buyers etc. ...... But then slowly and gradually police begin to monitor everything. The only constarint would be digesting all the video information coming in from thousands and thousands of video cameras. A Big Brother computer would be needed to analyse and store all the information, but that is manageable.
