re: What's "a yellow dog"? It might make sense that I would be a yellow dog, except that I'm from Chicago. Which last I heard was not part of the south. These guys just like to throw out regional names 'cause they think it makes them look sophisticated. Humor the provincials. It's certainly a strange term. I've heard of someone being 'yellow', meaning they don't have a backbone but "yellow dog". That's a new one for me.
