I don't know that Zander is really any good at his job. The quarter IMMEDIATELY after Zander was hired at MOT was a smashing blowout. They were supposed to do $6.8 billion and did something like $8.6 billion instead - I think it was March '05. Zander got declared a genius, but face it, all of that positive stuff (primarily the RAZR) was due to stuff put in place 1-2 years before Zander showed up. And since he's been there, MOT has been riding the RAZR wave (started before his arrival), and not much else. Zander's affect on a huge institution like MOT should be showing up about 1-2 years after his arrival, which is now. They've lost their mojo in cell phones, and who's fault is that? I'd say his.
