Let's not forget that many of the institutions are momentum investors who know exactly what they are doing. As long as the hype offensive works, they figure they can make money. At 2:19 today, Dow Jones News put the mike in front of the same old idiots so they could opine to their hearts content. Any wonder that the stock finished strong? Soon Barron's will interview another "technology" (read "momentum") fund manager who will sing the praises of AOL since he owns 5 million shares of it. I hate momentum investors, but at least they don't pump and dump a la Vinik.
