"The sad part about this kind of trading is that literally, you can get away with using "I just thought that it was a good time to load up on options because DJ was so undervalued" as a defense and get away with it. I've seen it happen first-hand "

First hand? Well I think you had an unusually light contact. Though your "excuse" could be used, next they comb through all of your trading activity to see if this was a "normal" trade for you. If not, good luck bud. If so, THEN they thumb through all the other "like"" trades to see your results. Tell you what, I wouldnt want to explain a couple of other insider leak trades. You need alot of self supporting evidence of your investment process to escape that one. The idea that you could "get away" with this everytime is simplistic. I've learned that stockwatch IS watching. I salute your luck and hope you bot a lottery ticket that day ;^D.
