There is no 'new' core architecture coming from AMD for at least a few years after Barcelona

Haha. Oh dear, I think I need to bookmark that one ;-). K10 will be the most innovative thing AMD have done since K7 and probably ever and it will be out in the same time frame as Nehalem.

You may recall I explained to Keith that larger-L2 Netburst processors would not show large gaming increases and that the A64 would retain the crown.

I don't, links please. It would fit though with your MO of criticising en-masse the products of the company you are not invested in and you may have got lucky as the cache latency went up unexpectedly at 65nm like AMD. Find the link anyway and you just may find my retraction queued up behind your outstanding one ;-).

The reason I bring up your predictions is because you constantly harangue AMD investors/followers with strident one-liners about Barcelona and Penryn without any supporting analysis so I'm calling you on it. Let me give you a heads-up, Barcelona is still going to beat Penryn in some non-FP benches. You are underestimating the former and overestimating the latter.
