They want to terrorize the Israelis (imo). That is their goal. They really don't have the political framework in place to get their own nation- so they settle for terrorizing Israel. As a terrorizing device the suicide bomber is effective, and it is logical to employ that device. For once we agree. The only word I would question is "settle". I don't think they have "settled" for terrorizing Israel instead of a nation-state. I think their choices have clearly shown their priorities. A Palestinian nation-state that has to exist besides Israel is not their priority. You imagine the goals you think should be met by suicide bombing- but your imagined goals for them are not their goals. Exactly right.
