I was thinking the same thing about the price going up after the EGM. They probably want to save some face and maybe have some titillation planned. Which reminds me of a story...

In India in the last century, a visiting British justice was visitng an Indian courtroom and was impressed about how closely the Indians were following British jurisprudence, e.g. swearing in of witnesses, examinantion, cross-examination, etc. but was dismayed to see a man run into the the courtroom and pinch some ladies in the chest and then quickly exit. This happened several times. At the close of the proceedings, the Indian judge invited the Brit into chambers and asked him what he thought of the proceedings.
The Br. justice complimented him but asked about the strange pinching man.
"Oh," said the Indian, "We studied books about your British trials and noticed that there almost always was a place in the trial where the author mentioned, 'and a titter ran through the courtroom', so we decided to hire one."

I agree that this is the true and holy Winspear thread, and us catholic with a small "c" Winspear types should post exclusively here. I plan to. I'll hope Walt and George post here (got them bookmarked anyway), and ignore the noise on that other counterfeit thread. Maybe Harley will make our day and keep his word and not post here?
Well, how far down can WSP go? Tuesday is EGM day. Maybe it will be show and tell day and we'll get a lift. Are the directors going to answer questions? Is anyone from this thread going to attend? I mailed a letter to the WSP transfer agent telling them I never received by proxy and asked them to enter my votes against the proposals, but I figure I have as much chance of having my votes counted as Diamond Willie has of getting a suntan this time of year.
It'll sit in a pile on some clerks desk for a couple weeks before someone reads it. What a system. Guess with 33 million shares O/S my votes won't make the difference anyway.
Maybe it's time to buy if you're a flipper? A flipper will buy WSP on porpoise for the bounce. (sorry) And Macros, maybe they should change the name of WSP to Prozac Resources? |
