Republicans are simply thugs. They're uncivilized. This is why they can act the way they do and not feel like s*** in the morning.

Unfortunately the only way to deal with thugs is to whack them back just as hard...they don't understand anything else. Besides, they are essentially cowards and will run from a fight where they might actually get hurt.

The best thing to come from the Bush administration would be:

a huge move and permanent move to the progressive side
