Z, > I found a site the other day that countered the claims of each of the members of the Swifties, one by one, but I can't seem to find it and am out of time for now.

So far, I haven't seen any proof that the Swifties outright lied.

I've heard that first-hand accounts of wartime events vary widely from person to person. Hard to prove that someone lied and someone didn't.

Like you said, "There's a big difference between lying and negative campaigning." To me, what the Swifties did was negative campaigning. If you want to see an example of lying, try the "fake but true" fax from Abilene, TX.
