RE ."acquired" Thats an intersting use of the word aquired.i dont think i have ever seen it in that context......germany aquired austria,cecheslovakia.france ,under hitler ect. or america aquired southern california from mexico... or england aquired ireland from the irish.... gullum aquired the ring as a birthday present... it almost as if ,in using that word, you are seeking to ligitimize an action you know to be wrong at some unconscious level. however america did aquire louisianna and alaska.
