I don't see why it would be the "last resort" for a highly attractive, healthy woman. Couldn't she get a job as a receptionist somewhere? Doesn't take much in the way of job skills to answer the phone.

A few years ago when the city commission was considering a new strip joint ordinance a few of the strippers testified that they needed to perform lap dances to raise their kids.

Imo chances are that at least one woman, in the history of humanity, has managed to raise her kids without whoring herself out. If that woman could do it, why can't the strippers.

It is not a last resort. The woman has the choice of making a modest living in one of the jobs typically held by women without much education, or making a lot of money by being a whore. The fact that she chooses to degrade herself to increase her income doesn't make her a victim, and doesn't mean it was a last resort.
