"shows the islamist world keeping "palestine" down, as its pawn, for political ends, otherwise the oil wealth transferred to the generous and caring royals and arab countries could do wonders for all of the "refugees", no?"

This is precisely what the Western world would like....someone to bail them out from their crimes against others.

It is not the Arabs responsibility to right the wrongs done to the Palestinians, except perhaps to lend a hand in overthrowing the oppressive Zionists.

"If we are living in the here and now, the history you refer to doesn't make any difference."

It sure plays a big part in the justification for a "Jewish" state based on Bible stories and persecution.

Do you want to pick and choose what stories, from what era, are relevant?

Personally, I believe it to be wrong-headed for the Arabs to flatly state that Jews need to be killed. It is not Judaism per se that is the problem. The problem lies with those who are using Judaism and Holocaust to justify the colonizing of Palestine to create a "Jewish" state that is not democratic beginning with its self-proclaimed name.

So, the Zionists use the Bible, Judaism, and endless, timeless persecution stories to the nth degree and the Arabs use anti-Jewish hatred.

So, whats the difference?

From where I sit, it was the Zionists who started it all.
