>Fitzgerald knows who leaked Plame's name to the media before interviewing Libby.

You sure about that?

>Then you should buy Citgo products. Why is Exxon bad? Because, as in the hate for Walmart, they are bad because they are the biggest?

For starters, they're paying scientists to plant "reasonable doubt" about global warming.

>I think you would have a problem at defining "badness".

Keeping employees from unionizing is definitely bad. A corporation is basically a union of leaders whose members more or less immune from personal responsibility for its actions. Allowing a corporation to keep its employees from unionizing isn't fair.

>Yes, Microsoft is not anywhere near the giant they were 10 years ago having been destroyed by Clinton.

The DOJ didn't really get them that well, IMO.

>The discussion should be cutting wasteful programs before taking more of my money and giving it to the same people who thought their waste was more important than your important social programs. You're more engaged with raising my taxes than cutting the waste are you not?

We define "waste" very differently. Giving aid to peanut farmers might be waste to me, depending on the circumstances. Giving reconstruction aid to New Orleans isn't waste. Social Security isn't waste. Medicare isn't waste.

>New Orleans? Haven't heard that one. It may be that there is money for the Corps of Engineers to upgrade New Orleans. The Corps of Engineers are part of the military falling under the Department of the Army.

I went through the bill briefly, and there's money for the Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, post-hurricane education funds. There wasn't a hell of a lot I found objectionable in there -- some of the extras, for instance, dealt with healthcare for children and HUD funds for Native Americans. It's tough to really evaluate the bill -- is there a clear breakdown of the extra $24 billion? I can't find a, say, Democratic equivalent of Don Young's "bridge to nowhere."

>Not in the majority of Americans' view considering the democrats are afraid of stopping the war in Iraq.

Afraid? Didn't they just pass a bill trying to do just that?

>I'll shop at Walmart. If Walmart's price is not what I expect, I'll not shop at Walmart.

And if you lack an alternative? It really could come to that.

>Where are those two soldiers today?

Still being held.

>Iranian sponsored "militants" must not be allowed to operate at will. If I was Israel, I would have already been lobbing a few at Tehran and asking Tehran "when would you like this to stop?"

And I wouldn't. It's not worth killing thousands.

>No I don't. The middle east was peaceful before the West started screwing with it? There bad people everywhere. Look at the "problems" in the US. The problems of crime in Detroit is not your fault is it? No, it's the fault of the bad people perpetrating those crimes. Society is growing more violent because the violent are allowed to continue being violent by leaders making excuses dismissing responsibility for their behavior.

Is that really why? We're one of the only countries left that executes its citizens, and we have the highest level of incarceration in the world. If things are getting worse, can that heavy-handed approach possibly be working?

>Do you think a "timeout" in the corner for Timmy really is punishment?

Eh, just shoot your damn kid. He has it coming for not cleaning his room.
