Question for the French Electorate

So how come every commentator I’ve read who dislikes France – its politics, economics, foreign policy, etc – who wishes France to be punished in some specific or non-specific way, whose writing on the subject shows signs of spite, thwartedness or jealousy, who can’t get the thought of so-called French “perfidy” out of their heads, who long for it to collapse . . .
