Fortunatly for me the story for sun has been in the last three years. 400% gain The way forward will be a battle field all these companys are following the same bussiness model as msft (survival of the fittest economics) Which puts pressure on gross margins. And causes companys like sunw to spend 700mil on r&d. Which I think was a big mistake. There is so much intrest in the internet and Java they could of leveraged their position and forced other companys to assist in the r&d just for the promise of getting rich. Netscape for instance would be willing.. considering thier competition. Also suns managment takes the companys profits from the shareholders and distrubitutes it among the employees. example the 500mil stock buy back. They are selling thier shares like crazy. I don,t beleive they are doing everything right. Everything turns into a commodity sooner or later with darwin ecomonics even 64bit ultra servers with 350mhz clock speed.
