About the technology
The Giants' broadcast team was "wired" by 3Com Corporation (Santa Clara, Calif.), in conjunction with Dell Computer (Austin, Texas), and Pacific Bell (San Ramon, Calif.). The announcers were provided with:
- local area network (LAN) and modem technology through 3Com's EtherLink(R)III LAN+33.6 Modem PC Card
