The other Arab nations only started to want Nukes when the persian Iran started to develop them. This isn't a case of israel has them so we want them, it is a case that if the Persian Shia's have them then Arab Sunnis NEED them. The Arab nations are not planning to defend themselves against Israel, or they would already have Nuclear Weapons, Israel didn't just acquire them. OTOH the new urgency started when Iran claimed it would have them soon...... Of course arming all of Islam with Nukes for a war between Sunnis and Shia has a certain attraction
