I guess not... The most fair parameter would probably be: How many people created a Microsoft Office document during the last 30 days, divided by the number of people that Microsoft claims having sold a Microsoft Office license to. Anyway, during my search for the number above, I found this page: wiki.services.openoffice.org It seems OpenOffice.org now has a significant market share. Excluding all the copies of OpenOffice.org distributed to Linux users, and downloads from sites other than their own, they're now at 82 million downloads. This also excludes preinstalled copies, of course. But that still doesn't answer my question.
