Hey, the party went GREAT! We had a lot of poeople show up. I've counted 43 in my head, so there were probably more. We had Rachel's friends, all the cousins, aunts, and uncles, friends of the family, etc. Rachel and her best friend had the party together, because they hang with the same friends and Robyn doesn't like to be the center of attention. Rachel has no problem be the center of attention, as a matter of fact, I call her the Princess, as she likes to reign over the rest of us<G>.
The other mom, Judy, was a great help in planning and pulling it together. She had some smoked pulled pork that was excellent along with our slabs of ribs for some FINGER foods:). These items were in addition to all the regular finger sandwiches, meat rolls, potato chips, dips, etc, etc. And the ribs and the pulled pork was just marvelous and a big hit with everyone.
Rachel had a great time and enjoyed all the attention and fellowship. We had some people drop by the friends from the past and that was a nice surprise.
We had a couple of slabs left, but went through 5 slabs and gave my parents a couple of them. That will make a good meal in a day or two.
As for the kitties, we have 5 cats that live with our two neighbors on either side of us and they have ADOPTED us and our yard. So we get the benefits, ie they chase off other less desirable creatures without us having to feed them. So, good luck as kitty Grammy<G>!
