How many Republicans are going to go with Bush down into his bunker of stubborn oblivion? And are they willing to stay to the end? Many of them need re-election to avoid having to get a real job.

I like John Edwards idea, that the Dems should just keep sending up the same bill that Bush just veto'd. They are providing the money for the troops, it's Bush that's denying them. The American people will support the Dems, and any disaster will be blamed on Bush, as it should be. Bush is despicably using American troops as hostages for his pet war.

Bush has really always been a very weak President. It's why he needs to lie, con, mislead and deceive citizens and cast the opposition as traitors, etc. He just isn't a leader people will freely follow.

I think eventually enough R's will see the wisdom of over-riding Bush's veto. I hope the Dems have the stones.
