I bought a modest position in KLOC at 3-9/32. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with its performance this week. Except for the fact that I don't understand it! I know...I know... who am I to complain...and truth be told, it's not so much a complaint as an expression of wonderment and frustration. Why can't I get my hands on whatever information is fueling this puppy's move? It's current TV release, Cracker, is doomed to die an a priori death, as it's been relegated to a spot opposite Seinfeld, and placed 89th in last week's Nielsons. I can't believe that there's much chance of the Tom Berenger flick hitting the jackpot, either. And anyway...very few companies make any real money on production. So Kushner Locke must have something good going for itself on the distribution end of the business. If anyone can provide a better glimpse into what it is...I'd love to be clued! Meantime...let's hope for more of the same.
