Hi Maurice, I didn't accept Jesus as my savior to get the freebies. I accepted Him because I was convinced that I was a sinner in
god's sight by birth and by choice. I knew I was guilty. Being guilty I couldn't pay the debt to escape Satan's jail. Jesus did it for me and set me free. The sad, sad part is this, the jail doors are open and people will not come out of prison.
Our perfection was lost in the beginning by the first humans when they disobeyed God and became imperfect(sinners - violated
god's will). That imperfection has been passed down to all humans. Being imperfect we needed help to regain the status of perfection, God provided His Son as our means of returning to perfection, not is this world but in the spiritual world where God lives. Sometimes referred to as heaven or the kingdom of heaven.
The freewill option is still yours. The freewill option of mankind got us into this disobedient state and the freewill option is necessary to get us out. I have made my choice, I was obedient to the
calling of the Holy Spirit and I chose Jesus over self and the world.
The truth from The Bible has been presented to you. Exercising your freewill can get you in harmony with Jesus. After all, this is God's creation, He can set requirements as He wills and He has determined that we should choose Him rather than force us to join Him. Not be as puppets, but as dear children by birth. Its your choice, I hope you choose wisely.
God loves you and will not force you to accept Him. In fact you hurt God by refusing to believe Him. Please do yourself a great favor and believe on The Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.
Presently you are living in a perilous state if you are outside of Christ. Trust me Maurice, you really don't want to die in this condition. I urge you to study The Bible and learn the truth, for The Truth shall set you free. A good place to start is the Gospel of John in the New Testament.
