There will never be a revolt. It's all in the "People's History of the United States". There was a time in this country, the thirties, when socialism was a strong and growing movement, with real political clout. Roosevelt, seeing Europe going socialist, co-opted socialist ideas and implemented "lite" versions of them here, to co-opt the movement and render it impotent. The same would happen again, but SOME social progress would be made..
