FWIW, I have been refilling my HP AllinOne cartridges for couple of years now ... the IMS refill kits claim enough for 12 HP56 (black) refills and 14 HP57 (color) refills ... buy it at Costco for $15-16.

Have not bothered counting exact number of refills but it certainly makes printing much more cost effective .... get 6 or so refills on an original cartridge although theorectically it should be 8-10 ... then need to buy and use a manufacturer's cartridge and then refill that one.

Most important issue is to refill em BEFORE they're empty and consequentially dry. Took couple times to get hang of it and also learn how to not make a big mess.

May not be for everyone but very little effort does yield some significant savings.

PS Kit can be used for almost any brand and has booklet illustrating refilling operation for each cartridge type ... also an 800 number for those who have difficulty/questions.
