I dont see any "irrivocable" harm done..." Signaling" a decline that was already a fact is hardly to be concidered causing irrevocable harm. Re Nasser ," and kept the Arab world there with him"...... That must be why the richer arab countries invested so much of their oil revenues on the us stock market . ps Nasser can hardly be concidered to have "kept the arab world with him".....he did have ambitions of a pan arab nation.....but what happen to them.....?They came to nothing. My argument with you is your all encompacing hyperbole...You have made exagerations that undermine the valilidity of any point you might be trying to make en.wikipedia.org PS I do very much respect your opinions.
