the vast majority of the Indian population probably never even saw it live on TV. Some of those who did, filed a complaint, and there is an arrest warrant out for Richard Gere in India (he typically visits India 3-4 times a year). In terms of Indian Law based on Indian culture and customs - what u do behind closed doors is your business. U do something simple as kiss a person in public, if caught, the sentence is 3 months in jail.
