Hi Jeff, I talked to Diane today. She had no explanation from their point of view other than what has already been suggested. i.e. they really shone at the cardiac convention in Washington D.C. and you answered the rest with the article on Guidant and AVE getting approval. My question to her was how much in advance did Guidant apply for FDA approval before AVE. She thought it was about 6 weeks, but said she would find out for sure and call me back. I bailed out today at 56 5/8.I'll get back in when I see a pullback as I do foresee a good pop yet with the Japanese approval thing and the FDA approval yet. I've got a couple of other stocks for you to keep an eye on if your interested. GW--which is now the second largest land (oil) driller in the country now that it is under new management and buying up rigs like nobodies business. The second one is SMTG--makes artificial blood substitute that is well on it's way to getting FDA approval. I can see it being another AVE. Currently at about 8 and could be at 20 in a year or less perhaps. I have to do a little more research on it but it just recently broke out of a basing period after having fallen from the initial hype, but appears to be ready to ascend.
