Intel does not have quad core 3 GHz for the server market. They don't for desktop either, the frequency is 2.93 GHz.
The 2.93 quad core is effectively non-existent. Start at Intel's excellent web resource for comparing processors. The following link displays the top 5 Intel desktop processors including the QX6800 2.93 GHz quad core.
compare.intel.com
OK, click "Where to buy a PC" under the QX6800 column. Unfortunately, it displays many non-Core2-extreme PCs, so you have to filter for Core 2 Extreme.
That page has 14 results. Here's what really exists for the QX-6800:
1. DELL XPS-710 -- only QX6700 and Q6600 are available 2. Area 51 7500 and 7500R4 -- only up to QX6700 (you can get a liquid-cooled model overclocked to 3.2 GHz for an extra $1,300) 3. ABS Ultimate X8 -- no QX6800 in the header, if you dig deeper, it is out of stock with no price or date given 4. Dell XPS 710 H2C -- looks promising, $5,500 and in stock. Drill deeper and it's a trick, you can get a 3.46 GHz overclocked dual core or a QX6700, but not QX6800 5. Dell XPS 710 Red -- QX6700 max 6. Shuttle Model: P2 37ØØG - QX6700 7. ABS Ultimate X9 -- header says QX6700 only, drill down and QX6800 is out of stock with no price 8. Cyberpower Gamer Infinity SLI KO -- yes they have one 9. @Xi Computer Corporation Xi MTower IGE Graphics Desktop 19 -- QX6700 or water-cooled, overclocked QX6700 10. Cyberpower GAMER INFINITY XLC INFXLC -- same as #8 11-13. Repeats of Xi and Ultimate
So, from Intel's own website, Cyberpower is the only OEM with any QX6800's. Come to think of it, they were the only ones who had K6-3 PC's, way back when.
