Whether you search in in the positive or the negative...makes no matter, as the constitution is mute on abortion specifically.

The constitution does allow that federal laws can be established by the legislature and the courts.

In the case of Roe V Wade the Supreme Court found that the rights of a woman were the most important under the constitution. Thus the ruling is from a Federal Court...the highest in the land...and thus is federal law.
