Anytime a guest or a citizen needs to communicate with state, local or national offices, then I really do think they should have to communicate in our National language. THEY can hire their own interpreter if they don't. It should NOT be the taxpayers job to deal with any other language than English.

Does anyone think if they go to Germany that the Germans will pay for interpreters for us if we don't speak German???

Does any think if they go to Portugal, the Portuguese will pay for interpreters for us if we don't speak their language?

ESPECIALLY if we are asking them to fund us for any reason using their citizens hard earned tax dollars!

I think people can communicate in any language they feel like, BUT that doesn't mean the Government offices, nor anyone else has to hire an interpreter for that individual.

We have got it just backwards.
