IMO Healthcare at 16% of GDP, running towards 20% in a few years is the number one issue in the USA. We have an entire generation of obese children living off of processed junk. We have the baby boomers heading towards retirement. We have alzheimers threatening to become epidemic and diabetes which already is.

The mess of Iraq will pale in comparison to healthcare.

Single payer all the way (not some mixed, neurotic system) is the only way to go. Open up the med schools, stop subsidizing corn and other grains, build more sidewalks and parks.

I think we'll see the US life expectancy head down if we keep the full-employment for insurance companies health care system continue. Rush, like so many others, pockets ads from big pharma and insurance companies. The system is so corrupt that many more Americans will have to die or go bankrupt from it before we see what we really need....single payer.
