I liked that word for the day.

They call the jaybirds 'snowbirds' in Arizona.
The reference is usually made regarding their driving
as opposed to crossing streets.

But oblivion is definitely a factor<g>

Yes, I know 'snowbirds' are those who flee the winter cold for the warmth of Arizona, but I suspect the 'snowbird' label is many faceted.

The amusing thing about it is that most Arizona
drivers seem pretty bad, at least in the eyes of this California road warrior. :-)
