MARIE PETERSEN………………= release, peace, salvation

My 87 year-old mother died on Sunday and was buried yesterday. She was a wonderful woman who would have loved hanging out on this thread. She was in the middle stages of Alzheimer’s and I am grateful that her physical ailments took her before her mind was overwhelmed. She greeted every morning with the words “I’m Alive!” Every day was a new adventure for her, even though some of those days included periods of anxiety and fear. She loved fresh flowers and she had reached a point in her life where every cookie was the “best cookie I have ever eaten.”

Both of my parents were extraordinary people, charitable and tolerant. Their good works touched the lives of hundreds of people. I am humbled by the example of their lives.

Some words for myself:

GLENN PETERSEN……………= grief, acceptance, peace
