LOL. Reagan started the decline of the USA as a country. It has taken a quarter century to complete this little project but his ghost has increased the income gap, increased risk for the majority, codified theft, unbalanced us fiscally, depleted our competitiveness and destroyed our stature in the world.

I find it amazing that Reagan isn't widely regarded as the disaster he was. While he was all genial on the outside, he was quite nasty on the inside. Nancy Reagan was quite unpopular as first lady (remember the, 'I don't wear my crown because it musses my hair' remark?) while Reagan was quite popular. IMO, Nancy's was their true agenda.

Rightwingers are still so unbelievably ignorant about reality. The USA has prospered precisely because we don't have the Reagans-Bushes altogether that often. If we did, we'd be a modern version of a feudal state run by big business for the sake of 1/10th of 1% of the population.

It is way past time to acknowledge that horror that has been Reagan-Bushinomics. Did Congress raise the borrowing limit yet?

:)
