Everything is available on the internet. There was a Los Angeles Times expose on Mormon beliefs some years ago that did a pretty good job of bringing to light the "Masonic secret-handshake" aspects of the religion. Probably a copy of it floating around somewhere.

I repeat my contention that there is absolutely nothing that one person can do that poses any threat to our nation and it so highly unlikely that Mitt Romney is the Mormon "Manchurian candidate" (for lack of a better term) that would be laughable if it wasn't so scary that so many are so easily frightened by bogeymen.

In recent years, we've had judicial hearings where nominees' Catholicism has been one of the central questions (stated or unstated); we're back to publicly accusing American Jews of having dual loyalties (see this thread or some of Joe Lieberman's opponents' blogs for seemingly endless examples) and now Mormons are said to pose a clear and present danger to the Republic. At this rate, the only people eligible to hold elective or appointive office will be non-believers, less than 10% of the american population. Or they will have to be <wink><wink><nudge><nudge>"Christians."<knowwhatimean?> Yeah I do. Liars.

Sad to say that 2000 looks like the high water mark for religious tolerance.
