**OT** A rant against the Dems going after Big Oil.
Mmmm, so these Dem politicians, who know little of economic theory or of global oil dynamics, want to "go after Big Oil".
Why?
Because a market system is working and pump prices are going up?
Gimme a break!
Does she make any sense to the informed citizens of this planet?
Even the folks on this board see the folly in Hillary's thinking and we are (mostly) lowly investors.

As much as I don't like GWB and his cowboy style, Hillary would apparently hand the USA to China and Russia on a silver platter.
I can't believe I am saying this but, "Go GWB!".

Does she not understand that American "Big Oil" needs to stay big in order to be competitive with the likes of Lukoil, Rosneft, Tatneft, CNPC, CNOOC, IOCL, Statoil and even giant public companies she may not have heard of like Reliance?
If Big Oil loses their economic clout, they will no longer be able to bid competitively in global land sales, nor will they be able to operate efficiently.
America will be buying all of its oil from Lukoil, CNPC and Rosneft. I'd like to see the pump prices then!!!
Perhaps Hillary could explain why the Dems aren't going after Pfizer, Bristol-Myers, Merck, etc.
Surely the outrageous cost of drugs in the USA is a costlier platform for her to pontificate from than pump prices.
Perhaps Hillary could explain why the Dems aren't going after Microsoft. How can such a monopoly exist in the USA?
The Dems don't seem concerned that Microsoft is charging some $300-400 to 60% of the planet for their proprietary operating software. The Dems aren't doing anything about Microsoft's nefarious business practices.
Perhaps hillary could explain why the Dems aren't addressing the issue of Biofuel.
The switch to growing corn for (highly subsidized) ethanol production has driven up the price of corn, soy beans, wheat, etc. and is destroying the heartland's topsoil as farmers feel pressured to grow the same crop season after season.
Folks, biofuel is NOT a renewable resource!
Maybe instead, Hillary should be going after the UAW, GM, Ford and Daimler-Chrysler. Maybe she should ban the production of V8 engines for non-industrial use. Maybe she should understand that high pump prices are actually a good thing. Maybe she should also understand that US pump prices are not actually all that high.
By going after Big Oil, Hillary is effectively closing down a hospital for providing services to the sick. Don't attack the system Hillary, attack the problem. The sickness is people's attitude, their belief in the right to drive a GMC Subdivision or a massive Hummer that actually has less interior space than a Honda Accord.
Maybe she should redesign American cities with actual sidewalks, so people can walk. Maybe she should reintroduce the Corner Store.
Remove the automobile as a status symbol and you cure the problem.
