Steve,

Great Information.

High technology is so full of hype now. What I mean is that
there's a battle going on out there between all of the high
tech companies to capture mind share by pumping annoucements
of breakthroughs and new stuff that causes the average person
or engineer's head to spin. You begin to think the practical
pace of implementations are moving faster than they really are.

I still have a 486DX4-100 and it works fine. I'm not even close
to needing a Pentium yet. I project a couple more years to go
before I'll need a more powerful PC (microprocessor).

My point is that I tend to agree with the article and I think
it ties into my practical experience and description of what is
happening out there. I think the world is wising up to the fact
that Pentium class power can be worked with and applied for many
years without having to rush to the next level just because you
can. If the C6 gets going anytime soon it can be a big factor
and for a good while. Not unlimited time, but for a good while.
