Carra: could you have answered that?

No. The numerous Mercury launches are also imprinted on my mind b/c I remember seeing them as a kid.

Greed is the worst character trait anyone can have. Absolutely deadly.

The present bubble cannot end well.

If uncomfortable, take profits. Don't look back if it turns out that you sold too soon. The bursting of bubbles is traumatic. It is a lot worse to lose capital when the bubble bursts than to not maximize return.

It is pure greed that drives many investors to think that they can be clear-eyed in the midst of a bubble and time the exact point at which it will burst. That is, if the bubble is even recognized as being in existence. Not everyone believes we are in a bubble now or were in one in 1999.

As a beneficiary of the incredible 1999 QCOM run, I learned the lesson the hard way. Euphoric thanks to my bull market acumen, I did not sell shortly after 12/29/99, a mistake I will never make again.

There are lots of articles showing just how difficult it is to replace lost capital after a bubble bursts. They are eye-opening.
