1. it would be honest
2. if they've got nothing to hide, why wouldn't he?
3. it would bring some truth to the statement "we've been very forthcoming and cooperative" that he keeps saying.
4. it's his duty and responsibility, just like any other citizen of the US to testify truthfully when called to do so.
